This industry needs protection of the trade

Got fed up and mothballed my cable gear. Figured if I had to work 60 hrs a week to make $1000 bucks before expenses, I'd be better off working for someone else. I miss construction, but I regret ever giving installation a try.

This industry needs licensing requirements, just like the plumber's and electricians.

It takes three hundred hours of class time, plus 3000hrs field to get a Massachusetts Class D low voltage. After that, starting wage non-union is $22.00hr.
