That's a great post Beatnik. The whole key is what you said "The pole must be plum, and the skew and elevation must be correct."
And I might add that the pole (shouldn't be a problem) and mast (especially vulnerable is a roof mounted mast) must stay plumb after you add the weight of the superdish.
