Trouble shooting CPD

When touble shooting CPD is there a more consistant cause for it. I know it is not exactly cut and dry, but I am wondering if you find the cause to be more a certian peice of gear. Its a pain it comes and goes and tends to show itself when it gets cooler out and dissappears when its warm.
