One thing is for sure. If the ground wire is longer than the rg6 going to the tv, the tv will take a hit. this is proven fact. spec or not Ive seen it over and over again. The bottom line is accountability. If your willing to take the risk than go for it. It just makes the folks who take this stuff seriously look better. This is why I never worry about having a job.
