I hired a guy to do a wreckout job for me, paid the guy 17,000.00 checked on the job about 3/4 of the way and everything was fine. Now come to find out over a month later the guy didnt finish what he was paid for. Yes I know I was the dumb one for not checking on the job at the end or for not holding a retainage. But is there anything I can do to try and get my money back from this person? Its only about 7grand worth of stuff that he left and I would like to be paid back for the money that i paid him for the job. If anyone has any suggestions please help. Thanks
