I am not a military guy but thought I would throw this out to see what some military experienced members thought????
Afganistan seems to be progressing towards democracy fairly well. It certainly is still a very dangerous place for sure, but it seems to be doing good overall, while IRAQ is in terrible shape.
WHY?????
Is it possible that someone - probably not George, maybe Chenney, or more likely Powell said "We need a diversion to keep international terrorists out of Afganistan if we are going to succeed?????
George wants to attack Sadam anyway, and he has WMD's if we attack IRAQ, maybe the middle east terror groups will fight us there and leave Afganistan alone.?????
IRAQ is closer to the middle east, therefore easier for terrorists who want to fight the great satin to do so. If they want to send fighters to fight the U.S. military-GREAT its much easier to kill them on the battlefield than to root them out wherever they hide 5 or 10 at a time.
EXAMPLE: If I have a wasp nest in my back yard, I might kill one or two in the house, but when I hit the nest with wasp killer I get Them ALL!!!!!!!!
Is This possibly why we are in IRAQ????????
