According to the current national electric code and all previous editions that I personally know (late 60's) article 820-40(b) states that CATV SHALL be connected to the building or structure grounding electrode (POWER GROUND) . If a seperate electrode (CATV ground rod) is used it SHALL be bonded to the buildings grounding electrode system by a bonding jumper not smaller than #6 copper.
What this means is if you gouund to power with a copper ground wire larger than #14 than no additional bonding is required. If you drive a seperate ground rod (must be at least 8' from power ground rod) than you must bond the 2 grounds together with at least #6 copper.
