Woah there big guy... Just because a splicer changes the I/S pad does not mean he is a hack nor does it mean he has performed shoddy work.
Nodes not in, missing backfeeds, missing cable replacements ie existing .500 PI supposed to be upgraded to 875... design issues walkout says everything is 625, lo and behold it is 412 PI... "Get it done, we will pay you again when the cable is placed" , having to replace actives so you can bump a supply... The list seems endless
Yes, they should not change them, but there are many times during a retro that you must to get plant running. Personally, when I have to, I leave the pad and or EQ in the package the shunts came in if the aux pads are different, I'll sharpie on the board where they go...
