Return noise

Member Uploaded Image

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before? If so, what was it that you found to be the problem?

This picture is of a spectrum from 5-50MHz. The center frequency is 27.5MHz. Our modems carrier is at 22.5MHz. I have never seen anything like this on any other return spectrum I have looked at. This one node keeps haunting me, because the problem will last a day or so and then will not return for a long period, around 4 months or so.

It looks like it could be an echo or maybe a reflection. The echos are spaced evenly from each other.

Well anyway, if anyone knows what causes these signatures to imitate my modems return carrier, your knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks
