One thing scare me in your picture.
FIRST: Why have you chossen 22.5 MHz as center frequency for your cablemodem, I find this very close to CB band 26.965 to 27.405 MHz.
SECOND: Chech your laser input, this look like laser clipping.
THIRD: Could also be CPD Common Path Distorsion, where the output of a amp. 50)-870 MHz is to high, probably above 50 dBmV.
