If your using 256 Qam 10-6 to 10-4 Is acceptable ....it's only one bit in ten thousand bits.
But if you want to improve on it ...Make sure your forward error correction is toggled and see what your loss is pre and post FEC.
Also check your Modulation Error Ratio and your Error vector Magnitute.
Clipping is a major problem so do what transiet spike said on checking your Modulator or upconverter or whatever your using.
If you have modems in the field you can check the each modem in the node off the ubr flap (or whatever platform you are using) list to tell you if you have a problem and where it is . Look at forward and return errors. If all your modems are experiencing return problems you are probably clipping a laser. If your only having problems on one street it is most likely not a clipping problem. If it is a forward problem your modems will tell you that too.
