Re: HDTV pic quality - No Groucho here....


Here's some feedback from one of my MTC Peers who launched HDTV for us last fall. - "When you go to the HDTV channels, you have to change the internal settings on the TV to receive the proper format, even through a converter. When they want to watch digital or regular programming, they have to change the internal settings back on the HDTV. Don’t know if this is the problem but I would start here. If you leave the HDTV on the HD format while watching regular channels, I’ve been told that you will possible damage the tube for extended periods of use this way, hence the manufacture's recommendation to change format back and forth. This may have something to do with their picture quality as well".

On a final note, the piece about the digital combining wasn't off the mark either.....
