Something smells fishy. I think he's a Pices, working for S.C.A.L.E. (Nick Danger, third Eye).
The symptoms of your HiDef pics seem rather odd. Are you noticing this as a trend on every set that you install? Have you seen the pictures at the office, warehouse, or Headend to reconcile the point of origination, meaning, does it happen there too? If it does, someone's in a big heap of headache. Is the system running 750P or 1080i ? The sampling rate of both are so different where coincidentally, if you have one type of broadcast running on a set with the opposing standard, it's almost like the old days of switching the back of one's TV to either HFC (Harmonic Related Carrier), IRC (Incremental Related Carrier), or Std. Remember? Anyway, that was just an analogy. Technically there's a big difference between the Progressive and Interlaced standard.
If this seems to be a global trend then something is amiss at the Headend/MTC area. Maybe (Just maybe) the QUAM Combiner is out of sync. Maybe the various input levels are out of whack. Can’t' tell from these cheap seats here.....
If you are a contractor doing this you need to escalate this PDQ to the Technical Manager of your respective service department or maintenance department.
