osha or your state version of would have no say in your dress code as long as you are not near moving equipment such as gear drives or chains or in an enviroment that contained abrasives or chemicals such as plants or sand. one thing would be a concern over static electricity from strand or splinters from poles, or exposer to sun

And while you're at it tell Bill Gates to 'SELL' and William Buffett to 'BUY'. I thing Microsoft is a weak company and needs a new president, and they need to upgrade there 486, I'm getting sick of all the promise's to come out with a new product called 'pentium'.. yes, Whitfield had heard of this and I think it's "BULL" that we can't get a faster chip. I also think that we need to cut China off, sure they make some fine 'dishes' and my wife would like some of those 'plates' but I think it's time we cut them off. And, 'WE WANT OUR PLANE BACK WITH OUR CREW'. let's cut off everything that isn't 100% American made and lets throw out peoples that aren't American or at least someone that growed up here for 15 years. And, if someone screws with Americans, they should all get "BLOWED UP". This is just one mans view. And, I was watching boxing last night and I was wondering... WHY ARE THOSE GUYS MAD AT EACH OTHER? I need to go feed the chickens and my goat is calling me... heheheheh "WHITFIELD"

Has anyone ever been fined by the company they work for, for not following safety procedures?

dont know about the MSO fining anybody but i was at a job in illinois and OSHA caught a guy up in a bucket with no safety belt/harness and HE was fined AND the MSO was fined, rather steeply too if memory serves correctly. like 5000 fine for the employee and another 10,000 for the MSO. this was YEARS ago tho. the MSO? jones intercable.

Alrighty then I guess I'll continue to wear shorts and be comfortable in the heat that the northeast has been experiencing lately. I know when I started back in 86 we wore them, while climbing to boot. But you all know how things have changed. And as for the OSHA fine, I got one on a retro back in 92, the bucket belt law was really just starting to come into play back then. I had one on just not snapped in. Any ways here comes MR. OSHA and rights Wht. MTN a 3000.00 fine right there on the spot. The way it works is the MSO or the company your working for gets the first one, then it's doubled and you get it the next time, the third time it's yours and it's tripled and the fourth time your considered an habitual offender and you could spend a year in jail. Nice huh? Buckle up everybody.

The company has the right to make you the employee pay the fine if, A.) you have earned your ladder certification. B.) Have and OHSA manual in the equipment that you were issued the ticket in.
