Gary Vest, the only place in Maine that has the Northern Pike that you ask about is Belgrade Lakes. Doug will know where that is. I've never caught one, but my brother says they fight like hell. Maine Fisheries&Wildlife introduced the species to Maine. They are not a native fish to Maine, and I don't belive they are activly stocking them anymore. The Landlocked Salmon that I think Doug is talking about are fun also,(and good eating). I was up in the Allagash Wilderness Area last weekend fishing. Not the best fishing that I've done, but a bad day fishing is better than three good days at work. I did land a 17 inch Tougue, needed 18 to be a keeper. They put up a good fight, and you will know when you catch one because you'll get a lot of action on your pole in a hurry as they nail your lure and head straight for the bottom. Eat, drink, fish, and be merry gentlemen.

you guys know that poastal guy was kinda right.You guys remind me of an OLD boss i had when i first started in this buisness(Early 80's)We go to the bar evry nite after work,was a young buck then,boss 50yrs ole,he would have a BIG ole knot in his pocket,buyin eveyone drinks,spendin his money like hes some hot shot,lyin like a rug w/ ALL HIS BULLSHIT STORIES,if you know what i mean.(FISHIN STORIES)There would always be a couple of bar ladies in there,the same 2-3 that were there EVERY nite, and they would listen to evrything he had to say as long as hes buyin!!Kinda sounds like all these fish stories on here!!!Who cares about those guys fishin,IM GLAD you guys post your real name so i dont ever work for you guys the way youll jump on people on this site, i would hate to see what youll would do if they were on your jobsite!!!Youll would put a knife right in thier back.Thats how you guys percieve yourselves from what you post,NO BACKSTABBERS
