I don't understand all this stuff about "stealing" actives and reselling them... All actives have serial numbers... What MSO would buy 20, 30, 40 actives from a independent... Why wouldn't the contractor just use the amps he was issued??? If a contractor was to buy them, install them in a system, they were to go bad, the Cable Co. sent them back for warranty. BUSTED... Unless it’s just stealing to cause financial problems for someone, just out of spite. Pretty immature. That’s what gives ALL contractors such a bad name. Stealing anything over $200-$500 (according to which state your in) is Grand Theft. Felony. Cross-Bar Motel.
