I think we should be allowed to count in cable years. I've been here for 4 years, my boss for 2 1/2 and we both agree it only feels like 15. Your right that it don't seem possible.

You know your getting "old" when the "newbie lineman" and wannabe "cable dawgs" think about Viet-nam as we did WWII, want to know "who" Lynard Skynard was, only knows of Southern Florida being Spanish speaking and never heard of the Ayatollah Khomeni!

You know your getting old when someone tells you they worked on the rebuild of Phoenix 10 years ago and you flash back to the orginial build

old age, who- so I have to go to a chiropractor to loosen me up enough to tie my climbing boots. So when I got into cable tvs were made out of rock. bucket trucks hell we didnt even have hooks, we stood on eachothers shoulders to set the lasher.

Talking about Pre-phoenix, I remember when somebody was talking about building Phoenix and I thought they were crazy.

How about the days when the Cable Operator didnt even ask you if you have a Contractors License or Insurance!!! And if they did you only needed $100,000. Now days its 5 Mil. Remember Pressure Taps?

Life was good back when all we had to worry about was 30 volt Vikoa and Kaiser amplifiers supporting 12 forward channels on .412 P1 cable with coreless connectors and NO return or CLI to worry about. Back then, the only need for a "bucket" was to puke in, so you would not get it over the front seat of your cable van.

Hi Mom, It's not that we have erased you from our memory it's just that Joe increased the production from 40 mpm to 75 mpm plus we now have all the new build and the maintenance work, keeps us a little busy.. Did speak with Art yesterday and Billy is headed our way this next week. We start Estero in two weeks. Have stepped on Alan, he has finally gotten a tighter grip on his people and their production has doubled. Call us once in a while. Hugs and Kisses... :-)
