What You’ll Be Doing:
Install, repair, and maintain residential copper services (POTS, DSL, bonded pair)
Perform inside wiring, jack installation, and demarcation work
Troubleshoot noise, shorts, grounds, cross-talk, and signal issues
Test and qualify copper lines using telecom test equipment
Identify and repair faults at NIDs, pedestals, and cross boxes
Educate customers on service setup and basic troubleshooting
Ensure all work meets company, safety, and telecom standards
Accurately complete work orders, notes, and documentation
Maintain company tools, vehicle, and inventory
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Copper Technician or Telecom Technician
Strong knowledge of copper plant, inside wiring, and DSL services
Experience with test sets (butt set, TDR, multi-meter, JDSU/EXFO)
Ability to troubleshoot residential voice and data issues
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights (ladders)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with bonded DSL or legacy telecom networks
Familiarity with outside plant (OSP) and pedestal work
OSHA or safety certifications
Prior work with major telecom providers or contractors
Bilingual (Spanish/English a plus)
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs
Climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces
Work in varying weather conditions
