Gridsource is currently seeking Fiber Optic Installer in Portland, OR.
No experience necessary. We will Train!

MUST HAV YOUR OWN TRUCK, SUV, VAN

Job Description:
Installation of aerial and underground fiber optic cables from servicing terminals to demarcation at the customer's premises. Clean and connect fiber cable at the FSAI, MST, and ONT. Strong customer communication skills required.

Work Environment:
• May have to climb and work at higher elevations exceeding 18FT (e.g., from ladders, lift trucks)
• May perform strenuous physical activities including but not limited to lifting objects over 75 pounds
• May perform job activities outdoors in different weather conditions (e.g., extreme cold and/or heat, inclement weather)
• When working aloft, employee's weight and tools combined may not exceed the 300LB weight limit as specified by the manufacturer

Responsibilities:
• Observe all safety rules and regulations.
• Assist other technical personnel in the performance of their duties when requested.
• Must convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company's products and services to our customers.
• This is direct customer facing work
• Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled to serve on call as needed)
• Teamwork (technical expertise developed to complete work efficiently to achieve work group key service measures)
• Active Listening (ability to take input from customers, APS and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills)
• Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions.
• Active Learning (curious seeker of new information and actively works to improve skills and knowledge)
• Assume all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
• Must be available to work flexible hours, weekend work may be required.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug test and have a valid driver’s license.

Entry Level-Will Train*Cable TV or Satellite installation experience a plus or any related skills
