Yes, I agree RF2Lite2RF...looks like you have seen exactly what I spoke of.
The similar types of return interference can be very confusing...espically if the technician is looking for one type and the problem is the other.
What is really difficult is trying to find the CPD under excessive noise floor with or w/o ingress. That can be a very intense task! In that case, obviously, the noise floor needs be suppressed first, then the CPD, depending on the severity and the cause. Kinda like "layers". Just like when a single 300uV/M leak must be repaired before you can see the 30+ smaller leaks that it masks.
