Buffalo Chips. The Trilithics system requires a SST-9580 at the head end which receive 8 carriers from a SSR or a 860 DSP. The SSR or 860DSP used in the field produces the 8 carries (Minimum of 4 are required) and these carriers are not produce at the same time but are introduce one afer the other at high speed, then not causing any INGRESS on the return path. The second function of the SST-9580 is to read the level of these carriers, but it is also function as a digitizer, operationg from 5 to 42 MHz, then impossible of not missing INGRESS on the return path, as it is possible of missing INGRESS  using a return spectrum analizer.
