Hi Joe!

I am not familiar with the Trilithic reverse equipment you spoke of. What concerns me would be the carriers that it produces (8 CW carriers??) for injection.

If these carriers are indeed CW carriers, they could and will overdrive the input of the reverse laser at the node and cause it to "CLIP". The overall input already present (data carriers, noise, ingress, ect...) at the laser would only increase and cause distortions to trash your return bandwidth seen at the reverse reciever.

That is why the Stealth and similar type reverse allignment systems are normally used vs. the "cw carrier" method of system allignment. BUT, if no nodes were used, and just the old fashoned coaxial amplifiers were used, there would be no problem.
