No, I quit cable about two months ago. If your on the road and can't find a job in your hometown or within travel distance every day, get out quick. All the predictions indicate that cable in general is going to have a rough year in 2003. If you love your job so much to work for next to nothing for the pride it gives you, then hang in there dude. If you have any former training in anything else I would say it's time for a career change. I did and couldn't be happier, home every night, health insurance, an actual paycheck every week with out worry of being cheated out of my money, and no end of the job BS that you get every time. Everyone in cable is the best at his job, there is no team spirit between anyone in cable. Every splicer out there will cut your throat to better his reputation or get your job, especually right now. Good Luck! And I really mean that!
> Looking for any splicing work out there that pays a decent wage. All I have seen are jobs that people want done for minimum wage. I'm a qualified splicer that does the job to spec the first time. Seems like a good splicer could find a job that could cover the cost of Insurance, room, truck & tools, and still clear enough to support a family. Is it possible anymore?
