I have just completed the upgrade of a town where the previous contractor left bolts loose to the end that now It has cost my company about $100,000 is purchasing new amplifiers that have rusted to the point that the motherboard is rotted. This does not inclus=de the extra labor costs incurred for replacement work. It was a cold splice situation. If your dealing with contractors they need to be hit in the pocketbook! If your dealing with inhouse make them aware of the actual costs of the equipment that is being ruined by laziness. Hand out punishments warnings and the like until they get it thru their thick sculls that If the company has to pay to fix these acts of laziness , that it hits the bottom line...less profit for the comapny means its harder to hand out bonuses raises and fringe benefits to its employees.
