I guess the bottom line here is that there is mistrust between the MSO and the contractor. I have been fortunate to see it from both sides. The MSO has QC and management people that are not qualified and have no idea, much less care how their decisions affect the lives of the contractors and lets face it there are lots of contractors that try all kinds of shady things, incorrect billing, hacking, etc.
I am not anti contractor at all, at least not good contractors.
SprDave you are right, most in house line techs should not be allowed to have coring tools.
Just one more thing. I had no idea the numbers of totally unqualified, and uncaring contractors there were out there until I became a contractor. Fortunately I know some good quality contractors that I call on when I need help.
