I have to disagree with a few things here!! Labor is THE KEY factor as without labor there would be no lines up on the poles to where the customers could get signal!! As far as go somewhere else where the money is better, right now the cable companys feel they have us over a barrel and are cheaping out on prices and expecting FREE work. I have been working in a system for the last 6 months that they want a rebuild splicing job done at retro prices. It is a retro job but they want it brought up to spec, now before you remark about this a retro job means replacing equipment where it is, not changing every pole. I have no problem doing it right, just want to get paid a fair wage for me and my bucket to be there.
