Jeremaih had a life vest on. They didn't take into consideration that the Big Sandy was above flood stage, 55 degree water, and he had the strand tied to his waist.
God Bless the family of Ronnie Collins. Your correct, nothing is worth deadlines, strand or anything. Saftey is an issue every day that is unfortuntly over looked.
> My deepest symphathies are with you.Ronnie Collins drowned in Columbia, SC. He was working for 1st South, I was a sub. They asked that crew out on a Sunday morning in the rain to get 1 span. Ronnie didn't wait for a life vest. I sure wish he would've and so does his 3 children and their mother.
> No deadline is worth a dead lineman. First South lost several guys in a relativley short time. I feel sure they've updated their safety policies by now.
> Oh, buy the way , they crossed with the strand on the day after Ronnie drowned.
