Ok, I think I get it. It looks like your situation is similar as here in Holland. On cable all the big networks appear, like cnn and nbc and on what you refer to as television are the locally transmitting stations. So for instance in L.A. you can watch the "L.A.-broadcasting station" through radiowaves but in New York you can't see this station. Right?
