dood, i dont ingress test by looking at the drops, i take a hp 8591c and plug it into the return fiber reciever and look at the whole node, thus shutting off return legs (tempoarily) to find ,isolate and fix were the unwanted signal is coming from. i feel that if your just plugging into the drops and looking, your missing the rest of the plant in that node,, btw, lets say a old tv set is in the house and has 1 of those 2 prong (mx) connectors on it,, now were are blaming the drop / when its a outdated part in the house,, just tryin to help ya dood,, c ya
> I'm just beginning the testing of drops/house wire for ingress. Does anyone have any info on proper proceedures for this testing? I have the needed meters etc... just some questions concerning where to hook up to the house drop(at the tap end or house end), if a splitter will interfere, etc...
