Well first I would read through my contract and see if there is a no hire clause in it.Also a time limit that you can not work for. I personaly will not sign a contract with either.However if Time Warner will let you work for them I would.Then get a lawyer and sue the contractor  for breach of contract. It will take a while for you to get your money,or a judgement.You have the right to work and earn a living.A company I worked for had a no-compete clause in there contract and three guys went out on there own. The company sued them and lost.I would go to work for T.W. and risk the rest.You will be better off in the long run.
