Is this a WORK related injury - crashing a Harley into a pickup? Do you have a long-term DBL policy or something like it that would cover you while you heal? Public assistance might help you out as already suggested....I doubt Comp would cover this if it's not a work issue. Check with your local social services office - they are pretty good about getting people assistance because they deal with it on a daily basis. Good luck.
