There should be a workers compensation clause in your,or employers insurance carrier. Have you checked with them yet? They paid 2/3rds of my salary + all medical when I was blown off  a pole during a storm in Ga and severed both ligaments in my ankle acouple of years ago. It took about 9 months before I was up and around,and they (workers comp) never missed a beat. however, the injury ended my career as a lineman.Hope this helps.
