Well wirenut, for the most part, computers are a matter of opinion. My personal opinion is that the Dells kick ass. The Toshibas are pretty good too, I just don't care for them because of the fact that their "mouse" is a little button in the middle of the keyboard, as opposed to a "touchpad" that the Dell (and most others) has. No matter what manufacturer you choose, your best bet is to stick with Intel for the processor, and get as much RAM as possible (I recommend no less than 256mb on a new unit). The more RAM you have, the happier you'll be!
