I hear ya !!! It used to be that an aerial crew was an aerial crew.....If it needed to be done in the air, then an aerial crew did it...Nowadays, some of these kids think they only do whatever they WANT to do.
Being a Fiber Foreman used to be a position that was earned by being a hot-shit Trunk Foreman....Now ya got Fiber Foremen who don't know what a false dead-end is and young splicers that don't know how to climb.!.!.!
Shit---Try getting some of these kids to pay up in beer if they've fucked up somehow....
I don't know when it changed or what happend to change it, but it seems to me that there is no pride in being a lineman anymore....I'm not saying that all the young guys in the biz are like this, but there sure is a lot of this now.......
I used to have alot of fun running around the country as a lineman...
It's just not the same anymore.......
