The Hampton Roads job is still going. Poquoson is about to start and Suffolk is still going. Norfolk was just finished. This job slowed because several contractors came in and hacked the hell out of the system. Things are slow because of resplicing to heal the almost fatal wounds these "splicers" inflicted.
>Cox in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News, Hampton and the surrounding area is shut down as far as splicing goes. I just got to this job about three months ago with the promise of 9-12 months work. Now it seems that it was just a dream. They are currently planning to restart the upgrade in Jan 2002 but there is some other work going on in the mean time. Aerial make ready mostly.
