Seeking Business Development Manager


Conexco Communications (www.conexco.com), an up and coming technology deployment company specializing in HSD, telephony and CATV installations, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to establish permanent locations throughout the US. This is not a contract job but as a full time employee.

SUMMARY

The BDM is responsible for establishing a permanent presence and client relationships in markets once an installation contract has been secured.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully the candidate will be extremely organized, able to meet project deadlines, results oriented, motivated and extremely knowledgeable of the MSO industry and it's products. Must be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment requiring broad experience, adaptability, quick learning and excellent problem solving skills. Successful candidate will have an understanding and knowledge of broadband terminology and coaxial drop installation specifications; ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as up to 30 people; ability to communicate Conexco services to people at all skill levels, including clients, end-user commercial and residential customers; ability to clearly create, document and communicate processes and procedures; experience in managing projects and personnel; experience in deploying new business lines to large customer audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include office procurement (including government licensing), supply and buildout; establishing a working relationship with the MSO consistent with "best way" operations as detailed in the SOP; coordinating initial service rollout with MSO utilizing a group of traveling technicians; billing code negotiations; recruiting, training, evaluating and hiring local talent; reports including revenue, expenses, staffing, inventory, quality control and incidents to Support office (approx. 15% of total time); vendor pricing negotiations and relationships; establishing new revenue streams; installations; 100% professionalism.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The BDM will be the lead in the opening team that will consist of a secondary BDM and a group of traveling trainers/installers (usually 3-5 technicians). The BDM will also act as the location General Manager until a local GM is hired, trained and evaluated.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years CATV experience
5+ years customer service experience
2+ years CATV field experience including digital & cable modem installations
2+ years management experience
A+ certified or 2+ years personal PC or OJT PC experience
Functional knowledge of MS Windows 9x, ME, 2000, NT, Internet Explorer and MS Office 98/2000 applications
Functional knowledge of TCP/IP
MAC experience a plus

OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES

Candidate must have a truck, SUV or van; must be able to travel 90% of the time; extremely motivated self starter who can work with relatively no supervision; relocation to Indianapolis or Shreveport preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION

$40-45K depending on experience.
