Re: Caribbean Work

So - word of advice - I bid on the US Virgin Islands for Vitleco's Cable upgrade some 20 years ago.  When I was in St. Thomas, I met, oddly enough the late mayor of the Island at a coffee shop.  He saw me looking thru maps, planning my day, and such, so asked what I was doing.
His first warning was of areas of concern over drugs, and I don't mean Fentanyl at the time, simply pot....and that we should do those areas real early in the morning and with 2 person team.

The other, is, Islands are mountains sticking out of the ocean and the terrain can be very athletic, even for us as field engineers.  Density homes per mile can be really high as well.
So make sure you visit the area prior to bid.   As a guest - it's all fun, but for work - a tad different at times is all.
