They will always be minor bumps in any project.  That is why I build that into my bid.  I will say that I have work behind really poor engineering were nothing was right only once.  As I was giving the design PE a royal ass chewing, he said I couldn’t talk to him that way because he was the engineer.  I told him wrong is wrong and I would take an ass chewing if I was wrong but if he was wrong I was entitled to give him an ass chewing.   He didn’t like it but I did prove to him that the maps were not even good for toilet paper.  The PE sent a field engineer out thinking he was going to prove me wrong but by the end of the second day when ever the field engineer called in, the PE answered "Now what?"  The engineering company scrambled to keep ahead of us and it turned out to be a successful build after all.
