Re: Jetting fiber question


Thank you for taking time with these question - I have ran indoor fiber but never jetted fiber. My company may make the investment in the gear if I think my crew can handle it.

1. The fiber has not been purchased yet so I do not know the reel sizes.

I was told there is a man hole every 1500 ft and they want the loops at every other man hole. What if you splice a 100 ft loop if micro duct at those man holes, jet the fiber then cut the micro duct off?

Which leads me to another question. What is the max you can jet? I assume you would need to jet as far as you can the figure eight out, move the machine and keep jetting forward? Then do the same after "X" amount of feet.
