Yes WC is a state by state thing. Your agent has to be registered to do business in the state the policy is written in. That may be why they won't (really can't legally) write a policy in TN. The insurance companies dont usually write one man companies a
WC policy. But some kid with a tie in a big office has determined that everyone needs WC without regard if they do or not. Just one more thing to raise the cost of doing business.
