TSBCC: that is what I was trying to say:  No one-Contractors follow the real fiber installation specs, just because its glass they think their is no shrinkage in the cable like coax has...however the strand it's lashed to does expand and contract with the temperature.  If pwr-tel-cable was out of the way.....you would have to install up to 600 ft pounds which would mean a tight run with no sag.  Today t fiber is placed as if it was COAX.  I did a fiber job for Ameritech....they gave me 3 large spec books and 1 quick ref book.  I did one of the first long haul fiber back in 1981 for MCI Pittsburgh-Baltimore.....the had 11x17 spec books.   Some times spec's don't follow what you actual find in the field....so you adapt, improvise and keep moving on.  The coax that fiber is being lashed to expands and contracts 1" per 100 Ft......  Keep Safe:Microman
