Pretty much every Cable TV installer is misclassifeid as an Independent contractor. if you are a true IC you get to dictate your work load and route . If the company dictates your route and time then you are  an employee. Just about every major cable TV contracting company does ths to avoid paying taxes . Just go read the 20 rules irs has about what is a contracotr and what is an employee . if one rule doesnt fit then you are an employye and go fater them for overtime pay
