That wont happen the state isnt getting into the broadband business. The customers who are bitching about the internet speed issues are the ones who ordered a 300 mbs plan and have 100 mbs second routers or network card in their computers . The ones that check their speed every 5 minutes online . Or the computer expert that complains daily about packet loss . And after you have sent a tech out several times and they find nothing wrong they turn it over to the cable company for inhouse and they wont find anything because it only happens in the middle of the night when the customer is clipping his third toenail on his left foot . When broadband first started out and I was contracting for Charter we use to make the customer sign a paper that wouldnt hold charter responsible for internet speeds if the customers equipment didnt meet their specs . Charter should go back to doing that because i would bet 90 percent of this speed complaints is from customers crappy equipment
