Hey Micro,
I agree with copper and coax being dead, but until the systems are upgraded the existing must be maintained. I heard "copper is dead" 34 years ago when I first got into the industry, I have seen coax make an impact on it, fiber is taking over and yet copper is still going strong. It will be many years to come before it or coax is completely gone.
