For me, mid spanning any buffer tube gets one of two tools. The black Corning mid sheath tool, or the yellow Miller brand tool. On NST tail buffer, the generally clear buffer, that gets the Corning. Any colored buffer tube gets the Miller.
I never mess up a fiber, can't afford to make those type of mistakes on hot/active mid sheaths.
Slow and steady, don't rush this step.
The micro fiber I've worked with, I have a tool for it but it barely gets used, so I'm not sure of the name off hand. I will check and report back.
