I worked with this more today and the main issue I am running into is finding the best tool for one particular issue. Midsheathing the buffer tube safely. Linked below is the tool I used and out of a few test runs there was always a broken fiber somewhere along the cut. (roughly 6-8 feet) Something about running a razor along a plastic tube filled with fiber doesn't seem ideal
. I am seeing a few options for tools that can run across 2mm or 3mm jacket but the tool I have works for those also. I'm familiar with tools that work on OSP fiber but not on plastic buffers. Any ideas what would be the best tool for this application?
