I'm working for a contractor to Comcast in the Oregon market. When we do a pole transfer and the drops need extended or do not meet the 15'6" criteria we are forced to replace them for no charge. Comcast says it falls under "Pole must be 100% NESC compliant when work is completed." At our prices we aren't making any money. We end up with multiple trips to 'not at homes' trying to replace a drop, having to wrap houses, etc. Is this how everyone contracting to Comcast is forced to do? It seems like that replacing a drop should be an additional billable item. Like risers, tree trim, topping a pole, etc. Feedback much appreciated.
