Re: So many problems...

It's disgusting. The whole industry should be ashamed of itself. The majors giving contracts to people who can't afford to pay their techs. The fly by nights who take contracts knowing they can't make payroll but pulling guys out of town to screw them over. Anybody cutting rates so low that a tech can't make a decent living without working 6 days for 12 hours. Companies putting green guys and hacks in the field to avoid paying experienced guys what they deserve so everybody gets a bad wrap. Definitely those clouding the air between W-2 employees and 1099 contractors...breaking labor laws and manipulating techs holding their jobs over their heads while violating labor laws. Etc,etc,etc. This used to be an industry where you could make good money and be proud,now it's a joke. Nothing worse than having 10-15 years of experience that's not worth a damn anymore. Get out if you can or go back to school if possible...this industry is done as we knew it.
