years ago this happened to me. I.R.S. made me pay the taxes , fought them four years. Garnished my pay and charged me three or four times the amount for intrest and penalty.said I earned the money, which I did but was never paid(.All on here know how that happens)NO lawyer would take my case, all said it would cost more then I could get . So if they said no mistake. you have to take them to small claims court ( which I sould have done) now and let them know monday and they might admit there mistake.
