Our political system hasn't changed, the populace is becoming more informed and aware of what is going on. I agree with you on polititions, both parties are going to the extremes of their respective ideologies and alienating voters. There is a large voter group that can see the benefits to a combination of both ways of thinking. But because of an all or nothing mentality in DC one group pushes it's agenda through when it is in contol, all the while keeping the things that strengthen the control of government over the people that the opposing party put in place when it had control.
